Who can
participate?

German and French students (Bachelor, Master and doctoral) with a background in DESIGN or STEM.

Student Design Challenge Icon Point

Students can participate as individuals or in teams of up to three members.

A student cannot be a member of more than one team. A student cannot participate individually whilst being in a team. Teams participating are allowed to submit only one project.

All participants must be over 18 years old and enrolled at a German or French university for the duration of the challenge.

Prizes

The best submissions will be invited to the Saint-Gobain Research Center Germany. The winners will get the chance to further develop their concepts together with our experts.

 

All participants who have submitted an accepted concept will receive a certificate of participation and a goodie bag.

  • The concept should include at least parts of the conventional vehicle glazing. The concepts may reinterpret the appearance of vehicle glazing (e.g., shape and composition)

  • The concept should target interactions from the user and the car

  • The market segment of the vehicle is to be a premium vehicle

  • The Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) concept may include other technologies, but glass must be a relevant aspect of the solution

  • The concept should focus on the user group of millennials living in an urban environment
